Plans for fans in New England

Posted by drewdougherty on January 10, 2013 – 6:07 pm

95fansThe Houston Texans have been blessed this season with tremendous fan support on the road. There’s nothing quite like traveling into a visiting stadium and knowing a large contingent of Texans fans are there to have your back in hostile territory.

Many Texans fans form meet-ups in road cities ahead of time, and other fan gatherings develop organically. Long-time season ticket holder Steph Stradley (@StephStradley), a.k.a. Texans Chick, writes a blog for Chron.com and often lists the best places for Texans fans to meet in opposing cities.

For this week’s post, click HERE.  Have a blast in New England and Go Texans!

    Drew,

    Thanks for sharing this info.

All year long the big meet ups you have seen/ heard about at away games have been planned by Texans fans. There are a Facebook group (private) and fanpage (public) called Bulls On Parade aka Travelin’ Texans where these plans are formed. Most away games one or two folks step up and call bars and eateries in the away cities and work very hard to put these plans together. We then post an itenerary which gets blasted out by Stephanie Stradley.

I don’t see you on Facebook, but I do believe Holly Schwietzer Daigle is in the private group and the public page can be seen by anyone. Let me know if the Texans want anyone added to the private group so they can see the plan making process in action.

    Thanks,
    Ryan Dove

I have been a loyal Texans fan from the start. I missed my Houston Oilers when they left for Tennessee and waited patiently for a NFL team to represent our fair city for many years. I look forward to our first SuperBowl appearance and say “told ya” to all the naysayers who criticize our our team and just jump on the bandwagon when they have a winning team.

“We are Texans!” has become a creed for the loyal and devoted fans and we will support you every step of the way to the SuperBowl in 2013! I have FB friends who quote football pundits weekly and tell us that Houston does not have a chance, yet we prove them wrong week after week> Go Texans!

    Texans!

We all know the power of words therefore; you will have to dig deep, listen closely to YOUR fans in the stadium and at home cheering you on but more importantly praying for you. Arian, HE loves the underdogs because it gives HIM the opportunity to be glorified. If those others are tagging us as the underdog good let em! When we win it just gives us more amazement to shine forth. Like JJ says, Dream Big,Work Hard and BELIEVE He has blessed you with HIS amazing super natural strength and Deliver!

Key here is, we’ll be praying, you dream big, work hard, BELIEVE and deliver on it!

Texans will win Sundays game, not by power, not by might but by thy spirit-it’s ya’lls time it shine and give HIM glory!!!

My husband and I are living in the Caribbean on our sailboat. We are big Texan fans and make sure we are some place where we can see each game whenever possible. Our Texan flag is flying proudly on our dinghy, Go Texans!
