Draft pick history since 2002: No. 161

From 233rd overall in the seventh round to 26th overall in the first round, the Texans have eight picks in the 2011 NFL Draft. We’re taking a look at the players who have been drafted at each of those eight spots since the Texans’ inaugural season in 2002.

The Texans’ sixth pick in the 2012 draft is at No. 161 overall in the fifth round. They’ve never had the pick before in team history.

Six of the last eight players picked 161st finished last season on an NFL roster. Nine of the 10 players picked in this slot since 2002 have played in at least one NFL game, and six have started at least once.

The most accomplished player of the group is Kuper, who has started 73 games for the Broncos in the last five seasons.
