Dallas Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh has been linked to the Texans this offseason as a possible free agent target for his former head coach, Wade Phillips. He talked about the possibility of coming to Houston today on a Dallas radio show.
“I could definitely see that if Dallas doesn’t work out,” Sensabaugh said, per Tim McMahon of ESPNDallas.com. “Wade’s a good guy, I already know his system and it would be an easy transition for me. I wouldn’t have to learn anything new, and at the same time, I’d be able to help the other guys learn Wade’s system. I could see that becoming an option.”
Sensabaugh, 28, played for Phillips with the Cowboys from 2009-10. He said that he would like to stay in Dallas but has to choose the best fit for himself.
“I’m going to make myself available to all 32 teams, shop myself around and see exactly what happens,” Sensabaugh said. “I’m just really excited about my chance to cash in.”
