With the 144th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Texans have selected Idaho safety Shiloh Keo.

Keo (5-10, 192) was coached by Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips at the East-West Shrine Game in January. He started 50 of 55 career games at Idaho, recording 358 tackles with one sack and 11 interceptions. He caused three fumbles and recovered six others.

The Texans are on the clock again soon at No. 152 overall. After that pick, check out a live presser with coaches’ commentary on the Texans’ last three picks right here.

The Texans have three picks remaining today: No. 152 in the fifth round and Nos. 214 and 254 in the seventh.

I agree with Wade & Kubiak that this kid will be a diamond in the rough. Deon and the rest of the talking heads couldnt say enough good things about him at the combine. According to them he looked like one of the best “pure athletes” they had seen there. Cant wait to see what this kid can do at SS with Glover Quin helping him out at FS. GO TEXANS!!
