Checking in from Radio Row

Posted by Nick Scurfield on February 2, 2011 – 2:58 pm

DALLAS – I’m here at the downtown Sheraton in the NFL Super Bowl Media Center, home of the famed Radio Row this week in advance of the big game.

Radio Row is essentially a giant room filled with all of the biggest radio stations and personalities in the country. Their guests this week are a who’s-who list of current and former NFL stars and other celebrities who have little or nothing to do with the game of football. Already today, I’ve seen the likes of John Elway, Lynn Swann, Michael Irvin, Jimmy Johnson, Sam Bradford, Matt Forte, Brooklyn Decker and Marissa Miller.

Texans running back Arian Foster and right tackle Eric Winston were here at Radio Row today as well. Winston is co-hosting on SportsRadio 610 AM all week, while Foster was making the rounds with the likes of Jim Rome a few hours before a press conference for the FedEx Ground Player of the Year Award, for which Foster is a finalist. Texans wide receiver David Anderson is scheduled to be up here on Friday.

I’ll be here all week working with the NFL’s PR staff. Here’s a picture of Winston with Marc Vandermeer and John Lopez of SR610 this morning:

Here’s an interview the University of Cincinnati did with Connor Barwin. I thought you would be interested in it.
